With iCal you can synchronise the e-domizil occupancy calendar of your holiday home with the calendars of other holiday home portals. This is not only very simple, but also saves you the effort of manual calendar maintenance.
What is iCal?
iCal (also known as iCalendar) is a globally recognised standard for automatically exchanging and synchronising calendar information between different software applications and online platforms.
It is completely free to use and requires no technical expertise.

Why should you use iCal?
For owners who offer their holiday home on several portals, iCal is ideal for automatically synchronising the occupancy of their accommodation across different portals. This eliminates double bookings and the tedious manual maintenance of calendars.

Example: An entry is made in calendar A for a specific date. The online transfer via iCal now ensures that this new entry automatically appears in calendars B, C and D as well.
And this is how it works:
1️⃣ Open your booking portals
Open the following in your browser:
- the Interhome Owner Portal
- the login pages of all other booking portals through which you rent out your holiday home directly (e.g. Airbnb, Booking.com, Holidu, etc.)
2️⃣ Find and copy the export link from the other portal
Every major booking portal provides a free iCal export link for its availability calendar.
- Locate the iCal export link in each portal. It is usually available somewhere in the calendar or availability settings.
3️⃣ Add the link to the Interhome Owner Portal
- Now go to the following section in the Interhome Owner Portal:
Bookings > Calendar > Actions > Imported Calendar (iCal)

- Then click
Add a calendar link (iCal)
'Paste the link you copied earlier and click Save.
(Ctrl+V on your keyboard or right-click and select Paste.)

🎉 Done!
After approximately 60 minutes, booked dates from this portal will automatically appear as unavailable in your Interhome calendar.
Repeat for additional booking portals
Do you use multiple booking portals?
- Simply repeat the process for each additional portal.
- Using Add calendar, you can store as many iCal links as you like in your Interhome Owner Portal, allowing availability from all connected portals to be imported automatically.
🔁 Export your Interhome calendar to other booking portals
Of course, synchronisation also works the other way round.
In the Interhome Owner Portal, you can copy the export link for your Interhome calendar and add it to your other booking portals.
Go to:
> Bookings > Calendar > Actions > Export this calendar (iCal)
Copy the displayed link (it contains "ws.interhome") and paste it into the corresponding section of your other booking portals.
💡 iCal:Good to know
✅ If you rent out multiple holiday homes, each property has its own individual iCal link on every booking portal. Please make sure you always connect the correct calendars.
✅ You can usually recognise iCal links by the .ics file extension or by the word "ical" in the URL. Always copy the entire link without making any changes.
✅ The link containing "inventory.atraveo", which is already available in your Owner Portal, is generated automatically by the system. You do not need to edit or replace it.
✅ Occupied dates always take priority. If the same period is reported differently across multiple booking portals, a booked period will always override an available period.
✅ Only availability information is synchronised via iCal. Booking details, prices and personal guest information are not transferred.
✅ Even when using iCal synchronisation, you can continue to add or edit unavailable periods manually in your Owner Portal at any time.
